After 2 years of being mostly self taught she gained the opportunity to be bench trained for 4 years by award winning Jeweller Carl Johnson of TCJ Designs. There she was able to learn the principles of fine metalwork in a manufacturing setting, and build on her knowledge of traditional techniques including restorations and repair work. In early 2015 Emma set up her independent workshop as a resident artist of Rogues Atelier Artists Studios on Fossgate, where she is developing her own collections. Emma also completes bespoke commissions, repair work and runs workshops year round.
