Ali creates her paintings using pen and ink on paper. Her main inspiration is drawn from home interiors, fashion, style and decor. Instagram is her primary source of inspiration.

Meet the artist & maker

Ali is an artist from Lincolnshire, and moved to York in August 2022, previously living in Liverpool and Lincoln.

She works full time as an administrator at the University of York, and then uses her evenings to paint.

Ali has recently exhibited some recent works at Bold Street Coffee, Editions Gallery, Dot Art Gallery (Liverpool), Egg Cafe (Liverpool), and Angel Coffee House in Lincoln. She also has prints displayed in Federal Cafe NQ in Manchester.

This is the first year that Ali Hunter has exhibited at York Open Studios
