Bridget uses various printmaking techniques to explore colour, form and texture. Work is both abstract and representational inspired by the world around - still life, landscapes, plants and animals.
Exhibiting in 2023
Bridget came to printing through a course at York College; she works with collagraph, monoprinting, drypoint and lino. Her printing plates use all sorts of materials from leaves, stalks and tree bark to textured wallpapers and cheese wrappings. She applies ink with spontaneity making unique works or varied editions.
As a member of York Printmakers, Bridget has exhibited in the York area. She has also had work selected for the Ferens Open at Hull.
