Cathy uses techiques of tapestry weaving and wet felting, combined with hand stitch and embellishment. She loves colour, texture and form resulting in a wide range of rich and organic 2 and 3D textile pieces.

Meet the artist & maker

Cathy became a practising artist in 2012 after finishing a City and Guilds Creative Textiles Diploma. She has since exhibited widely around Yorkshire and also in London. Cathy is inspired by many aspects of the natural world including the sea/coast, flowers, trees, leaves and the seasons. This year she has created a series of pieces about trees, leaves, bark and the autumnal effects on them . These will be on display alongside a wide variety of her other work.
