Elena was born and brought up in St Petersburg, Russia and moved to the UK 15 years ago. She is a professional teacher and has attended an Arts college in St Petersburg. Her previous work centred around ink drawings.
Elena discovered wet and needle felting 3 years ago and was immediately drawn to its magical properties: producing cloth out of fibres. Elena studied felting from Russian felt makers.
