Meet the artist & maker

Emma’s paintings explore the emotional connection to land and sea, how the outer world can reflect the inner. Inspiration comes from both the dramatic Yorkshire coast and moors, to the vibrant light of Cornwall. Using acrylic with mixed media, she builds layers which evolve intuitively to form semi-abstract works. She aims to transport the viewer to wild places, resonant with memories or possibilities. Exhibits in the U.K. and USA.
