Frances' work is the result of an abiding love of our Northern landscape, freely expressed in panoramic compilations (ink/watercolour}, pastels on acrylic and palette knife oils.
Public Preview Evening 5th April
Exhibiting in 2019
By training a musician, and by profession a teacher, Frances' work has been shown in York Open Studios for the past three years.
Her work is concerned with stating and losing an image, trying to convey both the subject, in a relatively conventional way, and the possibilities of the medium used. Her work shows a broad artistic vocabulary. She has received many commissions for her domestic animal paintings, and leads workshops by request.
