Join Jade and friends in the Meeting Hall at Bootham School to contribute to the 'Peoples Banner'.
All ages and abilities welcome!
Embroider and embellish naturally hand dyed fabrics to construct a public piece of Art. Anyone who contributes in a meaningful way can 'loan out' the piece when completed.
Come and have a cup of tea, stitch and chat about the history of Quaker 'Friendship quilts' and more contemporary banners used when protesting for social justice.
At the Friday Preview Jade will be serving mock-tails made with natural ingredients which have also pigmented the fabrics of the banner in the Foyer of The Arts Centre.
Public preview Friday 14th April 6-9pm
Exhibiting in 2023
Medium: Mixed Media
