Jane creates colourful linocuts and she also uses pieces of her prints to make collages showing a wide variety of subjects including wildlife, the countryside and the city of York.

Meet the artist & maker

Jane, originally from Cheshire, studied Fine Art at Leeds College of Art where she started to investigate printing. Although she enjoys drawing and painting, she now specialises in printmaking as well as making unique collages. She experiments with different techniques of printmaking and enjoys the sometimes surprising results that occur.

From A59 / Holgate Road, look for St Paul’s Church, then turn off up Watson Street. Or If you are walking from the direction of the railway station, you can reach via Cinder Lane footpath and the footbridge over the railway. Alternatively, if you are approaching from Acomb or the Windmill, please use Wilton Rise.

The exhibition is all on the ground floor. Unfortunately, the doorway is too narrow for wheelchairs and there are two steps.
