Jean works in felt, starting with unspun wools to create highly textured sculptural objects and wall pieces. She achieves a contemporary result through use of ever-evolving techniques.

Meet the artist & maker

Jean was inspired by the great history and traditions of felt making. In 2011 she completed a City and Guilds course and since then she has developed the process, working alongside internationally known felt makers. She has exhibited in Scotland and Yorkshire, locally at Helmsley Arts Centre and the Kunsthuis Gallery for contemporary art, Crayke.
