Jill works mainly with her own hand-made paper, using paints, inks, dyes and pure pigments to build up intense, glowing colours. Reclaimed elements combine with gold and silver leaf.

Jill and her studio, The Wolf at the Door, have just moved from Brighton. Jill taught medieval literature before following courses in art, design and ceramics. She’s shown work all over the UK and has paintings in collections from Peru to Tasmania. Recent events include Affordable Art Fair, Battersea; Emerging Women Artists, Hampstead; Espacio Gallery, Shoreditch; Flux Exhibition, Chelsea; Artists’ Open House, Brighton; Art& 2017, York; Art Below, Mayfair; Nigel Rose Gallery, Brighton.
