Handbuilt sculptural ceramics. Judith often incorporates different strata into her work for a painterly quality, and to give different tones and textures.
Exhibiting in 2023
Medium: Ceramics
Judith's handbuilt sculptural ceramics are influenced by painters such as Giorgio Morandi - his quiet still life paintings in earth colours, and Joan Eardley - her wild seascapes of NE Scotland. Each piece takes around six weeks and her yearly output is only around fifteen pieces. Ceramic artists that inspire Judith include Jennifer Lee and Ashraf Hanna - unglazed handbuilt work with clean lines, enhancing the interior design of homes.
