Kay Dower is a self taught artist working with lashings of acrylic paint and wielding a palette knife to give paintings a sense of freedom and lots of texture. These are artworks that don’t want to hide behind glass.
Subjects range from everyday ‘still life’ objects to quirky, local scenesincluding seeing classic York buildings from fresh angles. Kay is the resident artist at Corner Gallery and welcomes commissions big and small.
