Sorry, Kay will not be showing on the second weekend.
Kay Dower uses a palette knife to create textured acrylic paintings. Corners of York and the coast feature, as do still life (from Yorkie chocolate to York Gin bottles).
Exhibiting in 2023
Medium: Painting
Kay Dower works with lashings of acrylic paint, wielding a palette knife to give paintings a sense of freedom and lots of texture.
Subjects range from everyday ‘still life’ objects to quirky, uber local scenes (such as Bishy Road and the Racecourse) including seeing classic York buildings from fresh angles. Kay is resident artist at Corner Gallery and welcomes commissions, big and small. Limited edition prints are available of all of her paintings.
