Marc’s studio practice focuses on printmaking, primarily lino cut and screen printing. Also a member of York Printmakers, he hones his craft and gains inspiration from fellow artists in York.

Meet the artist & maker

Marc studied art and theatre at university. After working in London’s West End, he found his way into TV animation, making cartoons for CBeebies. He now lives in the beautiful city of York, as an emerging printmaker. 9 to 5, you’ll find Marc working in a local music venue and in other areas of his life, Marc is a podcaster, graphic designer, animation tutor and volunteers for a local homeless charity in the city. 

This is the first year that Marc Godfrey-Murphy has exhibited at York Open Studios
