With an obsessiveness that comes with Asperger syndrome, Nigel Clarke has spent 30 years taking bad photographs in the pursuit of the occasional good one.

Nigel Clarke discovered his love for photography as a teenager and has spent decades honing his technique and style. Nigel has photographed a variety of subjects over the years, often corresponding to trips related to his work in marketing. In 2018 an image of 'Grifton' from his Perfect Strangers project won the British Journal of Photography's Portrait of Britain prize and was selected for the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery.
This is the first year that Nigel Clarke has exhibited at York Open Studiosboxfishphotography.com
