Oil paintings on prepared grounds developed through multiple thin layering. Work is on both linen incorporating subtle stitching and on disregarded found materials such as pitched pine, board or aluminium.

Pennie is from London with a background in animation, art and education and runs two creative businesses in York with her husband. Pennie has recently completed 3 years at Leith School of Art in Edinburgh studying Landscape Painting and continues to work from her studio in York, exploring the stark contrast and the parallels that exist between loss and hope, sensitivity and brutality, isolation and connectedness through the theme of 'Edgelands'.
This is the first year that Pennie Lordan has exhibited at York Open Studiospennielordan.com
