Exhibiting in 2023
Medium: Sculptural Ceramics
Penny is a sculptor, artist, and teacher, and has worked in ceramics for over 20 years. Sculpting British wildlife has been her passion. Lockdown allowed a brief sojourn to explore a series of primate studies, however her love of British wildlife remains central to her practice. Penny creates her pieces using a limited colour palette, of slips oxides and paint, to create depth, and strives to retain the raw nature of clay with heavily textured surfaces.
