Russell embraces experimental ways of working and gestural mark making. Russell has previously exhibited work in Open Studios, Great North Art Show, Kunsthuis and Blossom Street.
The main work results from over 12 months work on cathedrals - York Minster in particular - involving many site visits, plein air and studio based work. His works are predominantly charcoal and mixed media. There will also be a selection of abstract and other works to view.
