Sarah specialises in transforming aged fabrics and precious items into original artwork. Her combination of monoprint, collage and stitch highlights the clarity of the line and produces subtle, minimalistic pieces.
Exhibiting in 2019
Sarah has a special affinity for Russian design and folk art as she studied the language and literature at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and both lived and travelled there extensively during the 1990s. She went on to complete a City & Guilds qualification in creative techniques (textiles) in 2013.
Sarah is a member of two textile and mixed media groups with whom she regularly exhibits, as well as York Art Workers Association.

Castlegate House is located opposite Fairfax House and to the left of Rustique restaurant.
The studio is located on the ground floor of a Georgian building. There are five stone steps to the front door. There is no ramp.
