Fiona's work is influenced by travel, anthropology and history. She uses traditional silver and goldsmithing techniques combined with digital technology.
Exhibiting in 2021
Medium: Jewellery
Like a lot of contemporary jewellers, Fiona has a background in fine art and textiles. Several years ago she decided to complete a second degree and decided to concentrate on mixed media and jewellery techniques. At the same time she completed a P.G.C.E. and now teaches Art, Design and Media.
Fiona's designs are strong and contemporary, sometimes with a narrative element. She is currently developing a collection based on inspiring women throughout history.
This is the first year that Silva Rerum has exhibited at York Open Studios
