Clare Stringer

Clare throws porcelain and then decorates it with a variety of mixed media. Taking inspiration from nature, she loves contrasting the pure white clay with more messy additions.

Meet the artist & maker

With a background in biology and natural history, Clare uses her interest in the natural world to inform her work. She enjoys using the more overlooked British species as source material. Having thrown pots in her spare time for 20 years, Clare is now in the final year of her BA in 3D Creative Practice at York College.
