Judith’s hand-built sculptural ceramics are often related to the seascape and landscape work of painters such as Joan Eardley (1921-1963) and John Piper (1903-1992). A process of coil-building with incorporation of strata of clays of different textures and earth tones yields around 15 pieces annually. Ceramic artists that inspire her include Jennifer Lee and Ashraf Hanna—unglazed hand-built work with clean lines, enhancing the interior design of homes.
