Accessibility

One of the joys of this event is the range of spaces our artists exhibit in – from garden sheds and front rooms to shared professional studio spaces. However, we are aware that this can add challenges for visitors with different accessibility requirements.

Our artists have provided some useful information on key accessibility criteria for their venue, and this is displayed on each artist’s page. As so many of the venues are people’s homes rather than public places, and as individual’s access needs vary so much, we recognise this is limited but we hope it is helpful.

As many of the artists locations are private homes or studios there isn’t usually access to toilets, but you can find information on public toilets in York and a map of Changing Places facilities.
