Meet the artist & maker

From her cottage in York, Joanna creates whimsical sculptures inspired by the many animals her father rescued and brought home during her childhood in the countryside. Her self-taught and distinctive drawing-with-wire technique brings to life these uniquely eccentric creatures, which are decorated with paper and mixed media. A four-times winner of the BCTF’s Wow Factor award, Joanna runs workshops and undertakes direct commissions. Her pieces are sold in galleries and shops around the UK.
