More about York Open Studios
York Open Studios (YOS) 2025 takes place on 5-6 and 12-13 April 2025. YOS is a curated event held in artists’ own studios, workshops, and homes throughout York. Each year, we showcase over a hundred of York’s 2D and 3D artists who create original art. Our visitors love YOS because it is more than just an exhibition or a craft fair – it offers them the chance to purchase unique pieces, meet the artists, and learn more about how and where the artwork is made.
York Open Studios is organised by a committee of volunteers – a mix of YOS artists and non-artists who are passionate about the event.
To apply to take part in YOS, you must live or have a permanent studio within a ten-mile radius of York city centre. We welcome applications from artists at all stages of their careers, including recent graduates who pay a reduced fee.
