Selection is done!
Selection for York Open Studios happens every year between August and September. Once the deadline for entries has passed, we invite artists, designers, craftspeople and gallery owners to look through all the work and decide who will take part.
This year Jack D March (ceramicist and interior designer), Michael and Sarah Fram (Leaping Hare Gallery) and June Russell (printmaker) viewed the work of 178 artists, voted yes or no, and when the votes were tallied we had 158 artists taking part in 2022.
To add to that we have one charity entry, and we usually select two final year degree students each from York St. John University and York College for our popular Student Showcase.
