Helen Bower

Inspired by historic window tracery construction, Helen creates artwork in both stained-glass and mosaic. Traditional craft techniques and materials combine with her love of colour and pattern.

Meet the artist & maker

Helen honed her stained-glass craft skills at Norgrove Studios, Worcestershire; a specialist historic-glass workshop, and in tandem completed the prestigious SPAB William Morris Travelling Craft Fellowship. A two-year Stained-Glass Conservator post at the V&A followed, then 12 years at York Minster, where she completed her Master’s Degree in Stained-Glass Conservation & Heritage Management. Now self-employed, she creates her own stained-glass and mosaic work and regularly teaches her craft.
