Kerry Ann Moffat

Kerry paints in oil on reclaimed wood and handmade cotton Khadi rag. Her subjects include landscapes, still lifes and more recently, portraiture, created using brushes, palette knives or sgraffito techniques.

Meet the artist & maker

Kerry studied general art and design at York College of Arts and Technology and went on to specialise in studio ceramics at Chesterfield, which she completed in 1987. She has a small studio and pottery at her home in York. Inspired by nature, people and places that she has visited, Kerry captures texture, tone and atmosphere, along with expression and light in her portraits. She aims to capture the viewer’s attention with composition and detail.
