Dee Thwaite

Dramatic sea and landscape paintings, capturing overcast skies, storms and the changing seasons. Dee works on canvas and paper, using acrylic, pastel, pencil and inks.

Meet the artist & maker

Dee is a York-based artist. Having studied A-Level art at school alongside music, and later a music degree, she has come back to painting in recent years and her passion for art has been reignited. Inspired by the vast ever-changing sea and landscape of the Yorkshire coastlines, Dee’s paintings aim to capture an emotional and energetic response to her surroundings. Dee is also a North Yorkshire Open Studios artist.

There are steps within the venue.

There is a shallow step onto the porch and a step over the uPVC door into the venue. There is a small step over a uPVC frame into the studio room.
