Meet the artist & maker

Steve’s paintings begin with a feeling—an instinctive response to the world around him. Working in acrylics, Steve aims to translate emotion into colour, form and flow, letting the work unfold intuitively. Each painting takes its own course, guided by what Steve feels, remembers, and responds to in the moment. Much of Steve’s work is inspired by the drama and shifting beauty of the North Yorkshire landscape and coastline.
