Vivid and personal landscapes, full of texture, surfaces and colour. Combining a variety of textiles techniques, recycled fabrics and collage, gives Fran's work a warmth and vivacity.

Meet the artist & maker

Fran has always enjoyed the physicality of making art and working with fabric. Having studied with ceramics and glass, she became a teacher of art and design and art textiles. After another brief fling with historical costume, she has been making, exhibiting and selling her own work for the last 15 years. As a member of the York Textile Artists Group, she shown regularly around York, and also works and teaches for the Viking Loom.
