Frances G. Brock

Frances’ mixed media practice creates colourful, layered compositions, which gradually develop through a conversation between the materials and memory. Her process is intuitive and exploratory, allowing unexpected elements to emerge.

Meet the artist & maker

Frances has exhibited previously with York Open Studios and with Saltaire Arts Trail. She participated in two pet-portrait fundraisers during the Covid-19 pandemic . She enjoys sharing her practice, and encouraging others, and has taught classes as well as small groups. She has been painting and printmaking for 20 years, using watercolour, pastel oils and acrylics. Recent inspirations are the trees and flowers in stately homes’ gardens.

The venue is on the ground floor.

There are steps from the pavement into the venue.

There is one step down to visit the garden studio.

Parking

Parking is very limited. Access by car is only via Meadlands, off Bad Bargain Lane. Please do not park on grass verges, or anywhere except the driveway.
