Meet the artist & maker

Originally a painter, Jane discovered printmaking in her forties and in 2015 was a founding member of York Printmakers. In her printmaking she has retained her earlier watercolour practice of overlaying translucent glazes in complex layers to create colour and depict form. Jane’s work recalls places where she personally has felt tranquillity and is specifically intended to afford the viewer some of the peace and calm that comes from interacting with the natural world.
