Meet the artist & maker

The Yorkshire landscape is a constant source of inspiration for Chris’s practice. Working on several pieces simultaneously enables him to play one image off another. Each can be viewed individually or as part of a series. Overlaying multiple horizontals and verticals of colour offers hints of real places. The intention is to create a sense of place without direct reference to it. Chris has taught Art at St Peter’s School for over 35 years.
