Emily Stubbs
Abstract ceramic vessels investigate relationships between colour, form, and line. Constructed from collaged clay slabs, deconstructed and rebuilt, each vessel emphasises dynamic structure, intuitive mark-making, and bold colour.
Preview Evening Friday 17th April 6-9pm.
Meet the artist & maker

Originally from Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, Emily graduated with a BA(Hons) in Ceramics from University of Wales, Cardiff, in 2007. Since moving to York in 2009, Emily has continued her practice, working alongside 19 artists, makers, writers and thinkers at Pica Studios, an artist-led studio in the heart of York. Influenced by ceramicists such as Gordon Baldwin and Betty Woodman, Emily’s work has always been concerned with exploring the relationship between colour, form and texture.
