Sculptural porcelain tall vases and shallow bowls thrown on the wheel. Decorated with sweeps of slip and porcelain shards to create texture. Each piece is unique.

Meet the artist & maker

Jill has worked with porcelain since establishing her pottery in 2000, being drawn to its smoothness, whiteness and translucency. She finds fulfilment working with this white clay formed from elements of the earth, along with water, air and fire for firing, and ether for creating space. Jill creates contemplative vessels inspired by memorable mountain walks. The aim is to convey a sense of altitude and open space, jagged edges and precipitous summits.
